The Bible declares in James 1:27,

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.”

When Rev. Jabez Rapaka visited India in 2003, his heart was deeply burdened by the deplorable conditions of the children, the widows, the elderly and the pastors. God has placed the strong desire in his heart to do all he can to alleviate the miserable conditions of these people. Hence, Love and Hope Ministries started a children’s home for 30 poor children to provide clothing, food, and school supplies, a school for 300 children to give Christ-centered secular education at no cost, and an HIV/AIDS project supplying food and clothing in the community of Eluru, where Rev. Rapaka grew up, to bring God’s love and give hope. In addition, Love and Hope helps widows with clothing and food; pastors with bicycles and monthly financial assistance; and assists with church planting.

In Haiti, Love and Hope started a Bible school where 12 future Haitian pastors are being trained free of charge. In addition, Love and Hope supports a children’s home with food and shoes and an elementary school with uniforms, textbooks and school supplies. About 30 Haitian Pastors are supported with financial assistance and their wives with clothing and finances. A food pantry was established to assist widows.

It costs $35 dollars per child per month to provide books, clothing and 3 meals a day. It costs $50 per person per month to provide financial stipends to native pastors. It costs $60 for each bicycle for a pastor in India, and $25 per person to provide clothing and food to HIV victims and widows.
